Like this one a lot.
That's awesome that you're working as an assistant. I was looking for something like that but gave up. But now I have reason to believe and inspiration to keep at it.
Thanks Alex. The assistant work may have come to an end. Seems the cameraman has found someone with enough free time to do the weekday shoots as well(Must be a student, because lord knows 6000yen per whole day ain't gonna pay anybody elses rent). It was good experience with many different formats. Wish I could continue but I had a good year and a bit at it and learned a lot.
Yeah, it's kind of a toss-up. The pay thing was part of the reason I gave up. I was looking for some full time stuff before signing on with altia because I swore off teaching English for good after working with Aeon (although, that view's changed completely after working with altia), but I just didn't see how I could survive on that much a month. If I could take the hit for a little while ,I would gladly do it just for the experience, but unfortunately, reality is not that kind. Maybe something else will fall into place soon, though.
