Underground

After folowing a photo thread to which people uploaded photographs of the underground in their city (here), I picked up the courage to try and take some photos on/of the Nagoya subway.

I usually hold back from taking photos of people in such public (yet private) spaces. It feels like an intrusion. Yesterday was liberating. There is a fine balance between intruding on and photographing a scene. In such a space conscious place, it is easy to tip that balance.

他のサイトである写真シーリズ（ここ）を見てから、自分も地下鉄の写真撮りたかった。 地下鉄のようなスペースではよく撮影したことはないです。個人的な所は僕にとって撮影しにくい。人々のスペースに邪魔したくない。けれど昨日初めて楽しんでやりました。よかった。
